On March 13, 2025, the launching ceremony of the 2025 National University Business Elite Challenge Branding Competition and (Singapore) Global Branding Competition China Regional Selection Competition in Tianjin was successfully held at Tianjin University of Science and Technology (TUST), which was organized by the Business Sector Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). The competition is also part of the (Singapore) Global Brand Planning Competition China Regional Selection Competition. Mr. He Qian, Deputy Director of the Education and Training Department of CCPIT Business Council, Mr. Hu Xinmei, Director of the Education and Training Department, Mr. Li Wenfu, Secretary of the Party Committee of College of Economics and Management of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, and Mr. Yu Liyan, Vice President of College of Economics and Management of Tianjin University of Science and Technology, were present at the event, and all the teachers of the Department of Industrial Engineering, as well as teachers in charge of the relevant colleges and universities and students' representatives from many colleges and universities in Tianjin, attended the event.

Wang Xi, vice president of CCPIT Business Industry Committee, said in his speech online that brand management is becoming more and more important as enterprises deepen their knowledge of brand value. The Committee has applied to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security for the inclusion of “brand management personnel” in the National Occupational Classification and applied to the Ministry of Education for the establishment of related specialties. This year, for the first time, the committee has called for propositions from the society and ad hoc international student groups to promote international exchange. This year, more than 600 colleges and universities have registered to participate in the competition.
