To implement the spirit of the university’s Fourth Party Congress and advance the Pioneer Plan alongside the college’s One-College-One-List faculty development initiative, the College of Economics and Management held a grand launch ceremony for the 2024-2025 Qinglan Program on April 10, 2025, at Room 16-417, Hexi Campus. The program aims to strengthen ethical standards in education, foster the professional growth of young faculty, and promote mentorship traditions. Attendees included Party Secretary Li Wenfu, Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary Xu Yulong, Vice Deans Zhu Jianmin and Sun Yuan, along with appointed mentors and all young faculty members. Vice Dean Sun Yuan presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Secretary Li Wenfu presented appointment certificates to the mentors. Under the witness of college leaders, mentors, and young faculty formally signed Qinglan Program agreements, establishing structured guidance partnerships.

In his speech, Li Wenfu emphasized the program’s role in bridging generational expertise and outlined growth pathways for young faculty. He urged the mentors to lead by example and dedication to academic excellence and to guide their students in their professional and ethical development. Meanwhile, he encouraged young faculty to actively seek guidance, enhance teaching and research capabilities, and strive for impactful achievements. Li pledged the college’s full support for the initiative.

Professor Zhang Yongli, representing the mentors, outlined his responsibilities across four dimensions: ideological and political guidance, mutual learning in teaching, collaborative research, and career empowerment. He called on young faculty to embrace humility, craftsmanship, and perseverance in their academic journeys while pursuing innovation.

Dr. Liang Zhengbo, speaking for the young faculty, expressed gratitude to the college and vowed to leverage the Qinglan Program to advance her teaching and research skills. She committed to contributing to the college’s high-quality development through diligent efforts.

The Qinglan Program establishes a structured career path for young faculty: Establish classroom presence within one year, become proficient within three years, and develop distinctive teaching styles within five years. By fostering mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration, the college aims to pass down its esteemed pedagogical traditions, strengthen faculty development, and inject new vitality into talent cultivation. This initiative underscores the College of Economics and Management’s commitment to advancing the university’s mission of becoming a high-level research institution.
