Research Interests:

international economic cooperation, international trade management, transnational corporation management, corporate management, etc., especially international investment and global value chain management.

Teaching:

Primarily responsible for three undergraduate courses: Microeconomics (48 hours), Macroeconomics (32 hours), and Economics Fundamentals and Rational Thinking (32 hours). The courses are based on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept, continuously improving and innovating. They employ a teaching model that includes large-class lectures and small-group discussions, engaging in critical thinking through discussions and workshops, changing the traditional teaching model that was teacher-led, and making students the main characters in the classroom. A PPDC (Plan-Do-Check-Act) full-process course assessment model is constructed, following the new engineering education development concept, reconstructing the teaching content of "Industry + Economics + Innovation and Entrepreneurship", and integrating course ideological and political education, effectively enhancing students' interdisciplinary integration research abilities and innovative literacy.

Professor Xu Na, as the head of the national first-class course "Economics Fundamentals and Rational Thinking" (32 hours, 2 credits), offers the course to all undergraduate students every semester in two rounds, adopting a blended online and offline teaching mode. In 2020, the course was approved as a demonstration course for curriculum ideological and political education in Tianjin, with a cumulative number of students selecting the course on campus reaching over 8,000. Additionally, the course has been上线ed on the Eastern and Western Course Alliance, with an off-campus selection count of 15,100 students.
