The undergraduate program of Public Affairs Management began its enrolment in 2003, aiming to cultivate senior public administration professionals. The major also has a graduate program granting a master's degree in Public Administration Discipline. In terms of curriculum design, a system consisting of "general education platform + management discipline platform + professional education platform" has been adopted, effectively integrating theoretical teaching with practical training, and enhancing students' social adaptation and development abilities. This major has a distinctive and dependable teaching team, which has been labeled as the model branch for party-building work nationwide. Among the full-time staff, there is one teacher who has been singled out as a Tianjin Specially Appointed Professor and two other teachers who have got the title of “High-end Talents in Provincial & Ministerial Level”, including the "Talent in Five Batches" of Tianjin's propaganda and culture. This major fully leverages the advantages of abundant academic resources, keeps up with the development of the times in the direction of smart city governance, and focuses on cultivating students' ability to manage cities; We have two micro majors, which are Carbon Neutrality & Energy Management and Carbon Neutrality & Climate Finance. We also have a national carbon emission management professional capacity building base, with cross-disciplinary talent cultivation in green and low-carbon fields as one of our professional specialties.
