Introduction of the International Economics and Trade Program

Since 1996, this major has started undergraduate enrollment and talent training and has been included in the International Exchange Students project where the university cooperates with universities in Finland, Poland, and other countries. In 2014, it ranked second in the teaching quality evaluation of international economics and trade in Tianjin; in 2021, it was approved as a national first-class major construction site; in 2024, it became the first batch of ordinary universities in Tianjin. The International Economics and Trade Teaching Team was awarded the title of Excellent Teaching Team in Tianjin in 2021. There are 19 full-time teachers, 4 of whom have working experience in large foreign trade enterprises, multinational companies, or securities companies, and 5 of whom have the experience of visiting scholars abroad. Students of this major can systematically master economic theory and professional knowledge of economics and trade at home and abroad, and have the ability to use a foreign language. Master modern information technology, have good communication and coordination skills, and can solve complex problems in the field of international economic and trade theory and practice.
