in Chinese and English
一、Introduction to Master of Public Administration
The Master of Public Administration (MPA) program began its enrolment in 2024, designed to cater to the demands of modernizing socialism with Chinese characteristics. It aims at nurturing high-caliber, practical, and versatile talents for Party and government organizations as well as other public sectors. These individuals are expected to excel in public management, public affairs, and policy research and analysis, embodying both moral integrity and professional competence. This program prides itself on an elite faculty team, led by distinguished scholars including Tianjin Distinguished Professors and "the Talent in Five Batches " of Tianjin's propaganda and culture. These experts have spearheaded significant research projects, including national social science key projects and national natural science projects. Based on the strength of our university's disciplines, three core and distinctive research fields have been established: dual-carbon goals and regional green transformation, technological innovation and public policy, and food safety risk control and management. Furthermore, several premier research platforms at national and provincial-ministerial levels have been set up, such as the Tianjin Green Development Decision-Making Behavior Analysis Laboratory and the Tianjin Food Safety Strategy and Management Research Center, providing robust support for faculty research and student studies.
