Introduction and Core Courses of Applied Economics in Chinese and English
一、Introduction to Applied Economics
The discipline of Applied Economics is a key supported discipline of our university and has been approved as a discipline authorized to offer master degree program in Applied Economics. Based on the Tianjin Pilot Free Trade Zone, Northern International Shipping Core Zone, Financial Innovation Operation Demonstration Zone, and the background conditions of Tianjin University of Science and Technology's light industry, three stable research directions have been formed: financial engineering, international trade, and industrial economics. It has become an important platform for talent cultivation, scientific research, and think tank services in Tianjin Binhai New Area and even the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region. The discipline of Applied Economics has a research team based on young and middle-aged teachers, with backbone teachers as the core and leading academic leaders. It has undertaken a number of national and provincial key scientific research projects, as well as collaborative research projects with local government departments, and has had a wide impact. The discipline of Applied Economics follows the talent cultivation concept of "knowledge, ability, and quality", and has a complete discipline system. It has multiple municipal research bases and experimental centers, which can fully support graduate teaching and research work.
