School of Economics and Management Holds Series of Seminars on Implementing the OBE Concept (Logistics Management Chapter) ——Anchor OBE Orientation and Further Advance Teaching Reform

To comprehensively deepen education and teaching reform, accurately implement the core guiding role of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) concept in program development and curriculum design, and effectively improve the talent training quality of the Logistics Management Program, all faculty members of the Logistics Management Program held a special seminar on OBE teaching approaches on January 8, 2026. Closely following the core philosophy of “student development-centered, outcome-oriented, and driven by continuous improvement”, the seminar conducted in-depth discussions on key topics including curriculum system reconstruction, teaching model innovation and evaluation mechanism optimization, so as to build consensus on reform and clarify the development path.

At the beginning of the seminar, Teacher Zhang Li, Department Head, systematically interpreted the connotation and practical value of the OBE teaching approach in light of the digital and intelligent trends of the logistics industry. She pointed out that OBE features “reverse design and forward implementation”, which means deriving training objectives and curriculum learning outcomes from job requirements of the industry, and ensuring objective delivery through targeted teaching and multi-dimensional evaluation. This is of great significance for promoting the connotative development of the program.

During the exchange and discussion session, teachers combined their own teaching practice and focused on the implementation path of the OBE concept in core courses. Taking courses such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics System Planning and Design, and Warehousing and Distribution Management as examples, they reached a consensus that curriculum objectives should be reconstructed centered on “job competence requirements”. It was proposed that real projects and cases should be integrated into classroom teaching through project-based teaching, scenario simulation, university-enterprise collaboration and other methods to strengthen students’ practical and innovative capabilities.

The meeting consolidated consensus on reform and clarified the implementation path for the Logistics Management Program to continuously advance OBE teaching reform.
