School of Economics and Management Successfully Holds the 3rd "Unite as One, Dynamic SEM" Fun Team-building Activity

In this fruitful season of harvest, to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, unite and mobilize faculty members of the school to take part in the "Pioneer Plan", and further strengthen the cohesion and centripetal force of the school, the School of Economics and Management recently organized the 3rd "Unite as One, Dynamic SEM" fun team-building activity in the gymnasium of Hexi Campus. The event was organized by the School Trade Union.

Li Wenfu, Party Secretary of the school, delivered a speech before the activity. He noted that two previous sessions of the "Unite as One, Dynamic SEM" fun team-building activity had been successfully held. The activity not only enriches the spare-time cultural life of faculty and showcases their talents, but also boosts the school’s cohesion and centripetal force. The spirit of collaboration demonstrated in the activity is highly consistent with the core values of the SEM community, and further strengthens faculty’s sense of identity with the collective.

The fun team-building activity consisted of four modules: Ice-breaking Game: Peach Blossoms Bloom, Reaction Challenge, Blindfolded Marching and Whistle Challenge. Teacher Fan Yimo, Chair of the School Trade Union, delivered a mobilization speech to participating teachers, emphasizing the principle of "friendship first, competition second" and hoping that all teachers could fully enjoy the event. Teachers He Yankun and Hou Xiaobo from the Public Administration major introduced the rules of each game. Under their organization, faculty quickly joined the ice-breaking game and got acquainted with one another. After the ice-breaking session, participants were divided into four groups for competitions. During the games, everyone cooperated closely and brainstormed together. Laughter, applause and cheers echoed throughout the venue. The whole event helped teachers exercise, relax, and deepen mutual communication.

With a light and pleasant atmosphere, the "Unite as One, Dynamic SEM" fun team-building activity has evolved into a signature brand event of the School of Economics and Management, widely popular among faculty. The free and open environment allows faculty to fully express their individuality and stimulates the vitality of the whole collective. When faculty bring this enthusiasm and creativity back to daily work, they will more actively explore new approaches and ideas, inject continuous fresh momentum into the development of the school, and drive steady progress through innovation.
